Thematically, Aaron Brand has focused on
contrasts. Technological detritus meets imagery
of primitive nativism. New slams into old.
Sinatra meets Motorhead.
These themes play out in lighting, which
ranges from sleek to post-apocalyptic, and
wall hangings that graft circuit boards onto
rough-hewn wood. Recycled materials,
distressed mirrors, chrome and rust serve
as a canvas for screen prints.
Aaron's work also includes furniture, sculpture and
